ISAIAH 43:2 ” When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you”
All fire is not necessarily bad. Fire is a purifying agent and a moulding and shaping agent. In order to better survive our fire experiences, it is vital that our perspective of it changes. By understanding the process and the purpose of your “fire” experiences, we get a boost in our endurance of it. When we better understand the “why” of something, we are better equipped to handle the “what” of it.
Fires were meant for demons, they are destroyed in God’s consuming fire.
When you are experiencing a fiery trial in your life, you are enabled to go THROUGH it. God promises that He will be WITH YOU. He does not promise to remove the fire. The fire is meant to destroy “demons” that are attached to you which can only be destroyed by the all consuming fire of God. All things that are attached to you, that does not glorify God ,will be burned off you in the fire.
You will not be destroyed. Walk THROUGH it. Shake off bad habits, attitudes and sin in your life so that you can shine and better reflect God in your life. Character and patience are developed in the fire. You cannot pray for character or patience, it is DEVELOPED in the struggle.
Faith and patience are referred to as the “power twins”. Both are needed to see the manifestation of God’s promises in your life. Once you’ve submitted your prayer to God, He hears us. (1 John 5:14 – “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of Him.”)(NIV) God does what He says He will do, but we have to have faith (God’s currency) and patience while we wait upon the Lord. It is in this waiting that we are prepared for the blessing.
God knows how much “heat” you can stand and will perfect you, so that the weight of the blessing will not destroy you.
I encourage you to remember why the fire comes and more importantly, that God is WITH YOU. He works all things together for our good (Rom 8:28) . Trust the process and stand on His promises. This too shall pass and you will come forth as burnished gold, radiant and beautiful because you will be reflecting God.
God is faithful and good.
I hope this encourages you if/while you are going through your trial. Know that you are not alone and drop me a mail if you need further encouragement or prayer.
God bless you.
